High Flow Shallow Sand Filter

Shallow Sand Filter is excellent for cases where large-flow water treatment, automatic backwash and efficient impurity removal are required in power, petrochemical, agricultural irrigation and water treatment industries.

Introduction

The shallow sand filter is composed of one or more standard high-speed sand filter units, with unique water distributor and water collector inside. It adopts a special automatic flushing valve to realize sequential backwashing of multiple standard high-speed sand filter units during normal system operation, with fully automatic program control. It features low backwash water consumption, easy installation and operation, large flow rate and no maintenance required. Vertical and horizontal series are available to meet water treatment needs in various fields. It is applied in power, reverse osmosis pre-treatment, petrochemical, fine chemical, food and beverage, agricultural irrigation, automotive, industrial, metallurgical, paper, pharmaceutical, microelectronic and environmental water treatment industries, filtering water suspended solids, particles, scale, algae and rust.

Working Principle

Composed of several filter units, the system distributes water evenly through a unique water distributor when in filtration state. Water flows through the filter material layer (precision uniform quartz sand) in laminar flow, with impurities intercepted in the filter layer. Multiple evenly distributed water collectors at the bottom collect and discharge the filtered water, enabling high-speed filtration with good effect.
