Introduction
Column Type Automatic Backwash Filter is equipped with PLC intelligent control and can operate online for a long time. It is composed of multiple filter units connected in parallel on the main pipeline, with each filter unit referred to as a "column". The number of filter elements per column and the total number of filter elements are determined according to the process characteristics such as flow rate, viscosity and particle size distribution of the medium.

Working Principle
Features
The system is equipped with two backwashing modes, internal backwashing and external backwashing, which are automatically switched according to working conditions.Internal Backwashing: The raw liquid is used as the backwashing medium. When the control system receives a backwashing signal, the inlet valve of one filter unit is closed, the blowdown valve is opened, and the filtered liquid flows back under pressure. The solid particles attached to the outer surface of the filter element are washed into the oil discharge pipe, then the blowdown valve is closed, the raw liquid inlet valve is opened, and the filter unit is put into the next group for backwashing until all filter units are cleaned. This mode is suitable for working conditions with low impurity content, good fluidity and outlet pressure ≥ 0.4MPa.External Backwashing: Other gases or liquids are used as the backwashing medium. When the control system receives a backwashing signal, the inlet and outlet valves of the filter unit are closed, and the solid particles on the outer surface of the filter element are washed into the oil discharge pipe. Then the medium inlet and outlet valves are opened, the raw liquid is pushed by pressure to flow in the reverse direction, the filter unit is put into the next group for backwashing, and all filter units are cleaned in turn. This mode is suitable for working conditions with high medium impurity content, poor fluidity and outlet pressure < 0.4MPa.

Advantages
PLC intelligent control, supporting long-term online operation without manual intervention.
Modular column structure, with multiple filter units connected in parallel to ensure continuous filtration during backwashing.
Two optional backwashing modes, adapting to different liquid properties and pressure conditions.
Wide flow range, meeting the filtration requirements of different process flows.
Multiple types of filter elements are optional, such as metal sintered, wedge-shaped, silk screen, polypropylene and ceramic filter elements.
Application
